If you are a student looking for our Dollars for Scholars chapter scholarships, you're in the right place!  The East Central Dollars for Scholars Scholarships is proud to announce that the 2018 scholarship will become available on March 1st.  Scholarships are available to: East Central High school senior applicants who have completed a minimum of 6 high school credits within East Central and have taken the ACT test, and East Central graduates currently in college carrying a minimum of 12 semester credits.  College graduate students are not eligible for the scholarship program.   

These scholarships are made possible by the generous financial contributions of community members, business owners, educators, students, alumni, and the work of dedicated East Central Dollars for Scholars volunteers. Since the class of 1994, more than $6500,000 has helped 550 students to continue their education.  Last year, East Central Dollars for Scholars awarded over $80,000 in scholarships to dozens graduates and post-graduates to help pay for their higher education.

East Central Dollars for Scholars Reciepent Spotlight

Samantha Koland

Class of  2015

Samantha attended North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is currently a senior studying psychology. In her time at North Central, she have had the opportunity to play basketball, take a trip to Cyprus with fellow students, and serve as a discipleship leader and resident advisor.  A discipleship leader is another position is residence life. They are in charge of weekly devotional times, called LifeCore. Upon graduation, Samantha plans on attending graduate school to further her education and gain a degree in school counseling.  "Dollars for scholars has help me pay for my education. It has giving me the opportunity to spend more time focusing on my school work and becoming involved in the community at school."
