The East Central Dollars for Scholars scholarship will become available from March 1.  The deadline is March 22.

All East Central Dollars for Scholars Scholarship applications will be administered ONLINE!  This will allow you to complete your student profile/application online and apply for local, and some national scholarships, in one easy online application.

Eligibility:  Scholarships are available to East Central High school senior applicants who have taken the ACT test and earned a minimum of 6 high school credits within East Central, and East Central graduates currently in college carrying a minimum of 12-semester credits.  College graduate students are not eligible for the scholarship program.

Basic steps to the Application Process: 

  1. Create an account.
  2. Build your Profile. You will complete information in the following areas: (all areas are for seniors and post-graduates *Please Note- Financial Information and References is not required for any of the Dollars for Scholars scholarship.

o    Basic and Additional Information

o    School Information 

o    Academic Information (GPA, Class Rank, Test Scores- *Note- ACT only required for seniors)

o    Activities, Employment, and Award  * Note- seniors report only the last four years (since 9th grade), ** post- graduates report after their senior graduation

o    Essay:  Statement of your plans as they relate to your educational and career objectives and future goals (max. 200 words)

o    Unusual Circumstances Essay: This essay is not required, however, if it pertains to you, please write an essay following the same expectations as the Goals and Aspirations essay that describes how and when any unusual family or personal circumstances have affected your achievement in school, work experience, or your participation in school and community activities.

o    Transcript *Note- post-graduates will upload college transcript only in the document section
